A Croon of Elvises - DEADLINE
DEADLINE FOR ELVIS IMAGES - Please get any images emailed to me by 15th March 2010
(see below for an explanation of how the project began and where you can find the images - remember the source material is specifically those photos posted here on Flickr, and here are some of the responses so far)
and...two more thoughts...
Does anybody know, is the plural of Elvis, Elvises?
And what would be the collective noun for a collection of Elvises?
I like 'a Croon of Elvises'
mmm...any other ideas?

Elvis Scrapbooks
Last year I bought 4 scrapbooks chock-a-block with magazine and newspaper cuttings of Elvis and I became fascinated at the idea of someone holding onto something for so long and then just deciding one day to let them go at a carboot sale for £2.50.
So, a plan developed to 're-archive' some of the images.
The post above has a link to Flickr for some if the photos I've taken from the scrapbooks - please feel free to get involved in the re-archive by using any of these photos as your starting point for your own representation of Elvis and email an image to me: melbrown@plymouthart.ac.uk (please could you save as a jpeg and include your name in the file name)
I'll post the best here, on the 'not my archive' blog, and we'll be having a display of work in College (Plymouth College of Art) in March
Not My Archive...
A tendency (it's not obsessive, yet) to collect other peoples stuff has to lead somewhere, and not my archive may be one such place
